On 11 March 2026, the Ljubljana Stock Exchange successfully held its biggest annual event for retail investors Trade on the Stock Exchange at the Grand Plaza Hotel. The recording is available on the following link: Trguj na borzi.
We began by discussing the impact of geopolitical tensions on the markets - from the war in the Middle East, energy sources, and inflation to the growth of the defense industry - and also touched on opportunities and risks in the markets, the role of gold, and debunked the myth that investing in the stock market is similar to gambling.
In the first part, we listened to interesting discussions and presentations in which the speakers highlighted new developments and current events on the Slovenian capital market. We presented the development of investment opportunities for pension funds and the new features introduced by the ZPIZ-2O Act. We also talked about debt instruments, the new issue of government bonds, and INR accounts, and showed how to build a portfolio with EUR 20,000 with an emphasis on ETFs. The newest company on the stock exchange, Vzajemna zdravstvena zavarovalnica, was also presented.

In the second part of the event companies listed on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange presented themselves. Company representatives presented their strategies, development vision, dividend policies, and key plans for the future, and then answered questions from the audience at round tables. In the round table discussion that followed, Bloomberg Adria journalist Iva Lačan stimulated an interesting debate with company representatives about the future of the Slovenian economy.
